“A LIFE SHAPED BY WONDER”
I grew up on a small dairy farm in Minnesota, surrounded by woods, lakes, and the quiet rhythms of nature. It was there, among the early morning fog and the call of loons, that I first began to sense there was more to nature than what the eye could see. In those early years my mother allowed me to borrow her Brownie box camera, and through that tiny viewfinder, I learned to see the world with awe.
Those childhood moments planted a seed — a love for the outdoors and a curiosity that never really left me.

Years later, when life took an unexpected turn and my young daughter nearly lost her life to a severe illness, I found myself face to face with my own fears — and with the God who met me there. In that season of helplessness, I surrendered my life fully to Jesus. His peace carried me through, and His presence became as real to me as the sunrise after a long night.
Since then, my walk of faith has been just that – a walk. Some days steady, some days stumbling, but always moving toward the One who holds all things together.
When I retired years later, I picked up photography again — this time, not just as a hobby, but as a way of seeing the world through new eyes. Behind every photograph, I now see a story unfolding – a reminder that God still speaks through the beauty of His creation.
Whether I’m standing in a misty marsh watching sandhill cranes rise into the dawn, or sitting beside a quiet stream in the woods, I often sense His whisper in the stillness: Be still and know that I am God.
I’m not a theologian, pastor, or poet—just someone who has seen how God shows up in the ordinary and the extraordinary. My prayer is that what you see and read here will gently draw you closer to Him — to the beauty, peace, and joy that only He can give.
